THE SUNSHINE STATE STRIKES BACK

Jun 13, 2012Word on the Street

Two weeks ago, the Department of Justice ordered Florida to stop maintaining it's voter rolls. Yep, you read that right, Florida's Secretary of State was told NOT to remove an estimated 53,000 dead and 180,000 non-citizens from its state voter rolls. What did Florida do? Under tremendous pressure from the Federal Government and rabidly racist special interest groups, it would have been easiest to just do what the DOJ wanted. Instead, Governor Rick Scott told the DOJ to step off. Bravo, Governor Scott, bravo! You can read Florida's response, as well as True the Vote's thank you to Wisconsin, here.
